This savory smoothie is how I’m starting my days lately.
It makes up half of my breakfast, and I usually have some fruit and/or oats to round it out.
I originally started consuming more bone broth because I was having digestive issues and didn’t seem to be breaking down protein as well as I had in the past.
I did over 2 weeks in January of a vegan diet plus bone broth, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well I felt. My digestion was great and my bowel movements were very consistent during that time.
So now bone broth has become a staple in my daily routine.
This smoothie (or soup if you prefer) is quick, easy, and can be taken on the go.
Ingredients:
- 16 oz Kettle & Fire Grass-Fed Bone Broth (Costco carries this now)
- 1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- ½ Avocado
- 1 Clove Garlic
- 1 Handful Spinach
- Optional: Herbs or Seasonings, lately I’ve been adding a few basil leaves from our garden
Directions:
- This works best if you buy the 16.9 oz Kettle & Fire Bone Broths
- Add 1 carton bone broth to a saucepan over low to medium heat. We are just looking to warm it up slightly for improved taste and drinking experience
- While it’s heating up, add the ACV, Avocado, Garlic, Spinach, and any additional herbs/seasonings.
- Once the saucepan has reached your desired drinking temp, pour into a blender or magic bullet and blend for 20-30 seconds.
- Sip and enjoy!
